Last Week’s Bricks: Week 41, 2026

4 October 2026 to 10 October 2026

This week brought an October release wave, early looks at 2027 display sets, BrickLink Designer Program pre-orders and a few useful prompts for builders planning their own scenes.

A microscale Marvel skyline was revealed for 2027

Brickset lists 67006 at 1,261 parts. Its microscale scene combines locations including the Wakandan Embassy, X-Men Mansion and Fisk Tower, so it is a display model with several settings to pick out rather than one single building.

New sets and future lines

Official availability and announcements spanned Marvel, DC and a new Sanrio partnership.

Avengers: Doomsday sets became available

If you are comparing the new wave, the reports identify an Epic Moments Collection model, New Avengers Tower and Quinjet among the releases. Reviews published later in the week covered 76352 New Avengers Tower and 76348 Avengers: Doomsday Epic Battle, giving builders two different formats to inspect before choosing.

Three LEGO Batman sets were announced for January

The announced group includes two Batmobiles and Joker Wall Art. BricksFanz described the wall-art model as a 1,849-part décor build based on the 2011 cover of Detective Comics #880, which gives the range a notably different display option alongside the vehicles.

Hello Kitty and Friends sets are planned for 2027

The announcement did not provide set details, so the eventual formats, subjects and release timing remain unknown. It is nevertheless a useful line to watch if you collect character-based LEGO sets or want to see how the partnership develops.

Details to study in your next build

A shadow-based train sculpture and a ground-cover guide offer two very different ways to shape a scene.

Build ground cover in layers

For terrain around a vehicle, building or minifigure scene, layering gives you a concrete approach to explore instead of relying on one uniform surface. Use the guide as a starting point and adapt the colour and part choices to the setting you are building.
