Overview
Lego Space Scenes is a Flickr group for members to share their own space-themed LEGO models with a convincing setting or background. The public group page lists 993 members, 5.4K photos, and a group start date of 2 May 2011.
Goals
- Showcase space-themed LEGO scenes
Characteristics
Curated space scenes
Submissions must pair an original space-themed LEGO model with a convincing setting or background.
Presentation quality gate
The scene must fill the screen; tabletop poses, isolated vignettes, and dioramas do not meet the rules.
Pros
- Clear submission rules for original space models
- Focus on convincing settings and backgrounds
- Public pool with thousands of photos
- Distinctive, explicit scene-presentation standard
- Curated original work rather than indiscriminate space uploads
- Strong crossover between MOC building and photography
Cons
- No discussion threads are listed
- Quality threshold is explicitly subjective
- Only space-themed original models qualify
- No discussion board
- Subjective quality gate may be opaque to submitters
- Narrower than general LEGO space pools
